Lucy Liu is an American actress voice actress director producer, and vocalist. In addition to being a beautiful and intelligent actor, Lucy Liu acts as a role-model for many Asian actors in Hollywood who want to succeed. In the wake of a number of first appearances in some popular series she gained fame after joining the team of the legal comedy show Ally McBeal where she played the malicious Ling Woo. Her sudden fame translated into movie roles, such as Shanghai Noon or Charlie's Angels. Then she gave a stunning performance as Japanese crime lord O-Ren in the Quentin Tarantino film Kill Bill Volume 1. While she was in the film her role as a leading lady in flops at the box office such as Rise: Blood Hunter were also prominent. Then she began voicing famous characters in animated films, such like Kung Fu Panda and Tinker Bell. Mia Mason, in Cashmere Mafia and other small screen characters, failed to achieve much success. Southland's critically acclaimed police series, Southland and a recurring part in the show helped Liu establish herself the status of an established actor.
