In 2007, Barden made her film debut in the comedy drama Mrs Ratcliffe's Revolution. In 2009, Barden played her role as Pea in the stage play Jerusalem that was performed at the Royal Court Theatre in London after which she was transferred into the Apollo Theatre in the West End.
